My 10 favorite organizing hacks for small spaces with command hooks!

Whether you are living in your RV/camper trailer full time or just a vacation user, organizing and making every space functional is important. Living in small spaces leaves no room for clutter, and really who wants to deal with clutter when they would rather be outside on an adventure or relaxing next to the campfire.

So I rounded up my TEN FAVORITE organizing ideas for maximizing your space! And best of all, they can all be done with Command Strips! Not only are they easy to install, but leave they leave no damage behind if you can’t make the hack permanent!

  1. Command hooks happen to make a handy hook for holding your broom, but it’s also the perfect size to hold a flashlight! And installed directly near the door makes it easy to grab and put away when you’re done with it!

Another genius idea for flashlight storage is a PVC pipe! Cut the PVC pipe to length and attach to the wall directly above the floor with a Velcro command hook, and you can just slide your flashlight in and out with ease. But if you have a heavier flashlight, this Maglite storage trick with a fishing rod holder, is genius!

  2. There is nothing more frustrating than misplacing the remote control, and if it happens are home, it’ll happen in an RV as well! But with some Velcro tabs, you can designate a spot just for the remotes and keep them from getting lost!

  3. The kitchen in probably the top space in an rv trailer where maximizing storage is a must! Between cooking utensils, dishes, food, and cleaning necessities like towels and soap, using every available space just makes sense! Cabinet doors are one of the most underutilized spots.

  4. If you have an upper cabinet, inside the door is a great place for storing cooking utensils, if no cabinet door, why not just add the hooks to the wall space above your cooking area.

  5. The bathroom is another space where utilizing all available space is pertinent! It’s easily the smallest space having to cater to multiple people! This quick hack is my favorite for keeping toothbrushes handy, yet out of the way, and tucked away for travel. Crystal light containers and command strips inside the bathroom cabinet door!

  6. Extra hooks in the bathroom for hanging towels and swimsuits…with multiple people the more hooks the better!

  7. Speaking of hooks, coats and hats can end up drifting from chair, to floor, to bed in a trailer without a proper place to hang them. And a full coat closet isn’t likely to be in many RV trailers. So grab some command hooks and install them next to the door, inside bedroom closet doors and even above the door.

  8. In my experience not all closets in trailers come with as many shelves we would like. Quick fix…wire shelving and command hooks!

  9. My personal favorite is any good storage for sunglasses and keys! Hooks and wooden dowel to hang sunglasses hooks for keys inside a cabinet door is genius! If you’ve already used all the available cabinet doors, a few Command hooks hung on the wall next to the door make a great landing zone for those essentials!
